Tamaracks, Canadian Poetry for the 21st Century (Lummox Press (San Pedro, CA, USA); $20.00) features 113 Canadian poets. The anthology, edited by Sarnia-based poet James Deahl, is one of a very few poetry anthologies published by an American press that features Canadian poets exclusively. The themes and poetical styles vary widely, making for a diverse and interesting collection. The April 7th reading will feature many of the Hamilton-area contributors, including Trudi and George Down of The Book Band. The event is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome. Copies of Tamaracks will be available for sale and signing.
