Toronto Celebrates Tamaracks

Tamaracks: Canadian Poetry for the 21st Century, edited by James Deahl, is the first book of contemporary Canadian poetry in 30 years to be published by an American press. Beautifully designed by California-based Lummox Press, the anthology contains over 113 poets from Halifax to Vancouver, and features a variety of styles and themes. Over 40 poets from the Toronto area are coming together to celebrate the publication of this milestone in Canadian poetry. There will be readings, conversation and an opportunity to purchase the book [$28.00]. All are welcome!

Hamilton Book Launch

Ted Schmidt, Toronto-based author and former editor of the New Catholic Times,will make a presentation and engage in a Q&A forum at a book launch featuring his latest publication: I Was a Catholic Zionist. The book is an exploration of Judaism’s moral and ethical tradition, and Zionism’s departure from it. Copies of the book will be available for sale ($22.00) and signing.
