Tamaracks, Canadian Poetry for the 21st Century (Lummox Press (San Pedro, CA, USA); $28.00) features 113 Canadian poets. The anthology, edited by Sarnia-based poet James Deahl, is one of a very few poetry anthologies published by an American press that features Canadian poets exclusively. The themes and poetical styles vary widely, making for a diverse and interesting collection. The April 7th reading will feature many of the Hamilton-area contributors, including Trudi and George Down of The Book Band. The event is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome. Copies of Tamaracks will be available for sale and signing.

Beautifully designed by California-based Lummox Press, the anthology contains over 113 poets from Halifax to Vancouver, and features a variety of styles and themes. Come and hear eight outstanding poets from the Toronto, Hamilton and Niagara areas read from their work in Tamaracks. There will be an opportunity to engage in conversation with the poets following the readings, and to purchase the book [$28.00].
