A New Literary Festival is Coming

Event: Ridgeway Reads Literary Festival Book Fair
Place: Royal Canadian Legion, 228 South Mill Street, Ridgeway, Ontario

This Book Fair is part of a three-day literary festival in Ridgeway on the Niagara Peninsula.

 

Niagara Literary Arts Festival (NLAF)

Date: Saturday June 9, 2012
Event: The Annual "A Book Affair"
Place: Niagara Falls Public Library, 4848 Victoria Ave., Niagara Falls, Ontario
Time: 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.

The NLAF takes place in different locations around the Niagara Peninsula during the month of June 2012. On June 9th in St. Catharines a number of small presses and their authors will be offering their books for sale. Lots of variety!

A Booklover's Delight

Event: Waterdown-East Flamborough Annual Fall Book Fair
Place: St. James United Church, 306 Parkside Dr., Waterdown, Ontario
Time: from 9:30 to 3:00 p.m.
Admission: Free.

Sponsored by the Waterdown - East Flamborough Heritage Society, this event features an excellent selection of books including new releases, classics and collector items. This will be the Society's 21st annual book fair.

Doug Carter, author of Cool Fool: Blues Rockin’ In The Hammer, will be appearing with Guitar Mikey at the Leander Boat Club, Hamilton, Ontario (50 Leander Drive) on June 9, 2012, promoting their collaborative song writing and a new CD.

Rob Ritchie, author of In a Company of Fiddlers and Orphans of Winter, will be appearing as part of the Local Authors Night at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre in Southampton, Ontario (33 Victoria St.) on Monday July 9, 2012 at 7 p.m. Author presentation and book signings, and wine and cheese reception.
