Joanna Lawson, winner of Hamilton Arts Council Literary Awards for two of her previous books, returns with another exceptional collection of poetry, this time celebrating many facets of the country and people of Canada. The book arrives just two months ahead of the 150th Anniversary of Canada’s Confederation. Join us for the launch of My Canada. There will be refreshments and a reading by the author. All are welcome.

Celebrated poet April Bulmer, who lives in Cambridge, Ontario, holds three Master of Arts degrees, including one from the University of Windsor focused on women and religion. In her newest volume of poetry and short prose pieces she turns her attention to women’s spiritual practices in and around her home region. Join us for an afternoon with this fascination writer at the launch of Creeds and Remedies: The Feminine and Religion in Waterloo Region.
